Kevin Rafferty (1947-2020) studied architecture at Harvard University and film at the California Institute of the Arts. A cinematographer, director and producer, he directed only six films, but influenced a generation of filmmakers, including Michael Moore.

OVID is proud to present two of his films, FEED (1992) and HARVARD BEATS YALE 29-29 (2008). He also directed the darkly funny, cult classic, THE ATOMIC CAFE (1982), which used archival material to show how the US government created propaganda to ease fears about nuclear warfare. In 2016, it was one of the 25 films selected for preservation in the annual United States' National Film Registry of the Library of Congress for being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
