Charlotte Gainsbourg

Charlotte Gainsbourg is an internationally acclaimed actress and singer/songwriter. Gainsbourg made her feature film debut at age 12 portraying Catherine Deneuve’s daughter in in the French film, PAROLES ET MUSIQUE. She received the Cannes Film Festival’s “Best Actress” Award for her performance in Lars von Trier’s ANTICHRIST. Gainsbourg has been nominated for four Cesar Awards, and won two, for her performances in LA BUCHE and L’EFFRONTÉE.

Gainsbourg is perhaps best known to international audiences as a muse to director Lars Von Trier, with lead roles in “NYMPHONMANIAC” Volumes I and II, “ANTICHRIST”, and “MELANCHOLIA”. Charlotte has collaborated with some of the most highly regarded filmmakers of our time, including Todd Haynes (I'M NOT THERE), Alejandro González Iñárritu (21 GRAMS), Michel Gondry (THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP), Wim Wenders (EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE) and Franco Zeffirelli (JANE EYRE).
